GTHub - colearning space

APRIL 15, 2025 | LEJLA BAŠIĆ

In five months, thanks to our own resources and the support of donors – the Tuzla Community Foundation, Zira, Marvelsoft, and Telemach – we successfully renovated and equipped the GTHub space and secured funds to start operations.

That’s why today, we are thrilled to announce the opening of the first colearning space for students in Bosnia and Herzegovina – GTHub, which will take place on April 28, 2025, in Tuzla, at the SKPC Mejdan venue. The space is equipped with 22 seats and designed to offer a completely new shared learning experience.

Driven by the desire to fill gaps in the education system, we created a comfortable, quiet, and inspiring space where students can study, develop their skills, generate new ideas, and also relax.

GTHub offers numerous features that make work and learning easier: free Wi-Fi, shared computers, a printer, coffee machine, air conditioning, TV for presentations, flipchart, and plenty of power outlets placed around the tables. The space also includes a restroom for our users only. Access to the space will be enabled through RFID cards, and additional security is provided through video surveillance within the premises.

We will ensure the sustainability of GTHub through monthly membership fees of 15 KM, which will be paid by users of the space – students. In addition, each month, with donor support, we will award 25 free memberships.

Our goal was to establish a shared learning space in SKPC Mejdan to solve the problem of the lack of available learning spaces for students in our city. In this way, we have provided an affordable and equipped space for learning, which will improve students’ academic experiences and achievements and support lifelong learning initiatives.

GTHub is open to students who want to progress, be part of a community, and build a better future together. Join us and become part of the first colearning community in BiH! Apply through this link.

The establishment of GTHub is supported through the project “Strengthening Civil Society and Democratic Culture in TK”, implemented by the Tuzla Community Foundation with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Freudenberg Foundation.
Additionally, the launch of GTHub was supported by the companies Zira, Marvelsoft, and Telemach, to whom we extend our thanks for their trust and support for young people.
